With most of Chicago under quarantine or shut down amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, it’s easy to feel stir-crazy or overwhelmed by the influx of news updates. Though you might be stuck inside, there are plenty of resources to keep you happy, healthy and well in your own home.

Keep Moving

Many gyms and wellness studios are limiting group classes and visitors at this time, but you can still move and stay active in the comfort of your own home. Many workout programs offer a variety of classes, or you can find your new favorite instructor on video-streaming platforms such as YouTube. If you’re feeling strained mentally, download a meditation app such as The Mindfulness App or Headspace, put your phone away and focus on resetting your mind.

Get Creative

Studies show that daily creative practices, such as drawing, listening to music or writing, can drastically improve your mood, your mental health and even your immune system. Itching to try a new recipe or that book you haven’t read yet? There’s no time like the present, and putting extra time at home towards something productive and creative will be a rewarding escape from any stress you may be experiencing.

Learn Something New

Take advantage of more time at home, get inspired by MasterClass or Skill Share and try out a new skill. Whether it’s cooking a new dish or writing your first short story, exploring uncharted territory can help get you out of your comfort zone and into an exciting new mindset. Engaging in new challenges may even lead to a new life-long passion.

Throughout this time of uncertainty, our Sales Gallery is taking every extra precaution to ensure our visitors are safe while our construction team continues to work diligently and make progress.
