The Chicago dining scene just got better this weekend. Bon Appétit is presenting Chicago Gourmet, a festival delivering a culinary tour de force sure to satisfy foodies across the grid. Best of all, the action is taking place right across from 1000M

Chicago Gourmet takes place at Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park from September 27-29. The weekend festival will be full of tantalizing and tasty discoveries, having attracted over 250 restaurateurs, wine connoisseurs, brewery gurus and spirit companies to showcase what’s new and exciting in the world of food and beverages.

Leading up to the grand event, a slew of programming will be hosted throughout the city. On Friday, foodie fanatics are invited to kick off the night with Battle of the Masters, a culinary showdown at Swift & Sons. The battle is followed by Hamburger Hop, where the beefiest and best fight for the crown of Chicago’s Best Hamburger. Topping off the night is Late Night Gourmet, dubbed the “after-party” for Hamburger Hop, the event promises a night of dancing and music that, of course, still brings the best late-night bites and libations to the dancefloor.

The main event, taking place Saturday and Sunday, includes an enticing array of live demos, seminars, gourmet pavilions, book signings, tasting tours and more. Both days include both a Main Event Grand Tasting and Grand Cru, sure to provide peak eating and drinking experiences.

On Saturday, the day is wrapped up with The Big Chill(i), a gourmet chilli cookoff. And if you aren’t too full from the day before, Sunday is being kicked off with a Rise & Shine Gourmet event hosted at the Chicago Athletic Association.

Mouth watering for more? You can visit the festival’s website for the full run-down; and if you already know that this is the only way you’ll be spending your weekend, you can purchase tickets here.
