Even though we’re a few weeks into 2019, it’s never too late to set a few more resolutions. At 1000M, we believe in the benefits of holistic, healthy living; seeking the beauty in all aspects of life. Here are a few suggestions for new habits to explore in the new year:
Take Time to Breathe
Life is chaotic, schedules are hectic and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Take a few moments throughout your day or week to sit back, relax and take a few deep breaths. For a quick refocus, meditation is an easy practice to incorporate into your day. If 1000M residents crave a relaxing, pampering afternoon, the 1000M Spa will have plenty of options, including hot and cold plunge pools, a Himalayan Salt Room and spa therapy programming.
Spend More Time with Loved Ones
Entertaining and hosting family and friends has never been easier for 1000M residents. Our gorgeous interiors make for a perfect night of games and comfort food, and our amenity spaces ensure year-round excitement. Sunbathe on Level 11 during warmer months, or invite guests to Level 72’s Club 1000 for drinks when it’s cold outside.

Whether you’re diving into the newest nonfiction read or cozying up with your favorite classic fiction, adding a few new books on your to-read list is a great way to plan for the rest of the year. And with 1000M’s Level 11 Library Lounge, you’ll have plenty of options to get you started. Enjoy gorgeous views, roaring fires and a good read…not a bad way to start 2019.
Even in a sprawling metropolis like Chicago, connecting with nearby nature is something to look forward to all year. While 1000M residents will be able to enjoy stunning views of Grant Park and Lake Michigan, there’s nothing like experiencing Grant Park Music Festival in the early summer or taking a stroll through our many Chicago parks when the frost starts to melt.
