Helmut Jahn’s 1000M skyscraper poised to rise in Chicago

“New renderings have been released of American-German architect Helmut Jahn’s tower for Chicago’s South Loop, as preparations for construction begin and sales of its luxury condominiums get ready to open.

Due to imminently rise from a vacant lot at 1000 South Michigan Avenue, the residential skyscraper dubbed 1000M will reach 832 feet (254 metres) once complete. Jahn’s design includes curving green-blue glass facades broken up by opaque metallic bands marking each floor plate, and a top surrounded by metal mesh.”
