Celebrate New Year’s in Chicago
28 December 2018
2018 has been quite the year, and we can’t believe that 2019 kicks off next week. Looking for some spectacular ways to ring in the new year? Chicago has some of the best soirées, parties and events to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Here are a few of our favorites:
Navy Pier Fireworks
What better place to have a last hurrah than at a Chicago landmark? Navy Pier’s New Year’s Eve fireworks set off at midnight, but there are plenty of diversions to keep you occupied until then. The 7th Annual Chicago Resolution Gala lets you sail around the Windy City with music, drinks and good company. DMK Burger Bar is hosting dinner, offering a full spread of Chicago favorites. And for families with children, the Chicago Children’s Museum is hosting a daytime celebration featuring crafts, dancing and a countdown to high noon. For 1000M residents, the best view for fireworks will be right from your living room.
Zoo Year’s Eve
If you’re looking for a more eccentric venue to spend the evening, Lincoln Park Zoo’s Annual Lights are a great way to start a new tradition. Their adults-only New Year’s Eve event includes dazzling lights, ice carving artists, plenty of drinks, music, giveaways and special animal enrichment. And a large portion of the ticket proceeds benefit the Zoo, helping it stay free and open 365 days a year.
Celebrate at The Signature Room
The Signature Room at the 95th, The Hancock Center’s upscale restaurant, allows dinner guests to enjoy beautiful views and amazing food during their New Year’s Eve celebration. Guests can choose from options featuring three or five-course gourmet menus, champagne toasts, celebratory decor and live music. For those dining elsewhere, The Signature Lounge on the 96th floor is also hosting live entertainment until 1 am.
No matter how you welcome in 2019, 1000M wishes you a healthy, happy, wonderful start to the new year!
