The 1000M Nightlife

14 August 2018

At 1000M, both Level 11 and Level 72 are great social spaces to enjoy a late-night experience, and a great way to take advantage of some of the finest views in the city. But for those evenings when residents are eager to explore what the neighborhood has to offer, there’s no need to wander far to find a host of fabulous night-life options…

Cindy’s Rooftop

The Chicago Athletic Association Hotel has become one of the hottest spots in the city, especially the always-trendy Cindy’s Rooftop. The restaurant/bar has an open-air terrace with an unbeatable panoramic view (only second to 1000M!). Enjoy one of their iconic elixirs and fabulous American fare day or night.

12 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60603, open till 1AM and 2AM on Saturday

Buddy Guy’s Legends

Established in 1989, this restaurant/bar is known for hosting musical acts from around the world. Though Buddy is known to play the blues, you’ll find genres of all types at this popular joint. Where else can you see Eric Clapton jamming with Otis Rush, while Pete Townsend sips on club soda just seats away?

700 S Wabash Ave, Chicago, IL 60605, open till 2AM; 3AM on Saturday

Land and Sea Dept. at CAA

Another selection from the CAA Hotel, Land and Sea Dept. is a conceptual restaurant project from the Lost Lake and Longman & Eagle folks. There are four rooms to choose from: The Cherry Circle Room, Game Room, Drawing Room and Milk Room. Enjoy a meal at the Cherry Circle Room, play a game of chess in the Game Room, or order a nightcap at the Milk Room. Lots of options, though we recommend the Game Room with its full-sized indoor bocce court.

12 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60603, The Cherry Circle Room closes at 11PM; all others close at midnight

Brando’s Speakeasy

Karaoke, if you happen to be a fan, happens every night at this vintage tavern. They offer bold and refreshing prohibition style cocktails, and have an additional floor for those who need a respite from the noise and dancing. Options for both are always appreciated.

343 S Dearborn St, Chicago, IL 60604, open till 2AM, and 3AM on Saturday

Jazz Showcase

When did all the jazz move up north? Skip the transit and avoid cramped spaces at this 170 seat venue that has been open since 1947 making it the oldest jazz club in Chicago. Joe Segal, the club’s founder, operates it with his son, Wayne, and greets you as you enter the door — reminding you of the integrity of the space.

Located in the Dearborn Station at 806 S Plymouth Ct, Chicago, IL 60605; open till 2AM

With countless options for Chicago nightlife in the 1000M environs, residents can take advantage of the exclusive chauffeur service that transports you and your guests anywhere within a three-mile radius. Of course, if you are more of an urban explorer and wish to wander the city limits, local transit is only steps away from 1000M’s port-cochère.
